Why this Issue is So Important

The issue of illegal immigration is extremely important because its negative impact crosses almost every political and socio-economic issue of our day.  No single issue has such a broad impact on a majority of Americans.

Why the Situation Requires Immediate Action

Most sources agree that 12-20 million people are now in the United States illegally.  That population constitutes more people than live in the 13 smallest U.S. states combined.

In 2004, more than 3 million illegal immigrants entered this country.  That is enough to fill 22,000 Boeing 737-700 airliners, or 60 flights of illegal aliens arriving every day of the year1.  That number is increasing by about 4 percent each year.

What makes the situation even more critical is that any irresponsible policy decision on this issue could result in irreversible damage to our country.  There will be no vote and no future election that will be able to undo the effects of these disastrous policies (i.e. S.2611) on our country.  Don't wait until it's too late to discover the facts.
